Our Story Since 1995

Humble City Café is Humble's historic downtown restaurant. Housed in the Pangburn Building, built in 1914, the café opened its doors in 1995. The Pangburn Building has been home to a Pharmacy, United States Post Office, Bus Stop, Grocery Store, the original “City Café” and many others. With wooden accents, old tin signs, and a small candy store within the interior. It all combines to create the perfect country café that takes you back to a bygone time. Tom Ott has owned the Pangburn Building since December of 1970. He believes in serving the freshest home cookin’ with the friendliest service.

Enjoy southern comfort foods such as peach tea, cornbread, peach cobbler, meatloaf, mac and cheese and delicious sandwiches and burgers. The cafe's generous portions will not leave you hungry. Come in for breakfast until 1 p.m. and indulge in the buttermilk pancakes or egg dishes. For lunch or dinner, explore their south of the border options or a spud or stick with their home cooked style chicken fried steak.
